When's the last time the Gospel moved you emotionally? Maybe it's been a long time. Maybe slowly, imperceptibly, over time, the joy and gratitude has faded and been replaced with heaviness and discouragement. Distance. It's so easy to move on from the Gospel, as if it were something we did back then and there. We need to be restored to the joy of our salvation. And let God lift off the heavy burdens of our sin and shame we needlessly carry.
