The history of humanity is littered with abuse. With the practiced belief that "might makes right." And tragically, the abuse of power has also racked the history of the church! Even today, it seems almost monthly some new scandal hits the news surrounding Christian leaders taking advantage of others. But Jesus wasn't this way. He showed us the way to use power to bless and protect others, even at extreme cost to self! His is the way of humility and compassion and sacrifice. The way of the cross. In this teaching we look into these difficult dynamics around power and ask how we can use our power like Jesus did.
