We believe Jesus is inviting our church into a season of increased presence and power. Because of this, we will be investing intentional time in prayer and fasting from this Sunday, January 16 through Saturday, February 5, 2022. To focus our hearts on God and prepare for what he’s doing, we’re asking Him for three things:
1. Deeper connection and experience with God
2. Meaningful friendships to be formed in our new groups
3. Our city to be filled with the hope of the good news of God’s kingdom
We also invite you to fast with us for spiritual renewal. That may look like a food fast, a partial fast, or even minimizing digital devices during this time. Lots of variations. The spirit of this initiative is less about "getting it right" and more about taking steps together to ask God to move in our church and our city. Will you take a step of engagement with us in this? It could be as simple as committing to pray for these three things once a day. Maybe you'd choose to skip one meal a week and pray during that time. Or per day. Or perhaps something even more stretching. Again, there's lots and lots of flexibility with this.
Check out our 21 Days page at the top of our new (and increasingly) combined website for lots more, including prayer guides, an open Zoom prayer meeting on Wednesday mornings, and other resources. We'll also be sharing more information about this on Sunday. Who knows what God might do...
